Alli Michelle born July 24

OVERLAND PARK — A new baby was welcomed to the family Thursday afternoon.
Alli Michelle Gillispie was born at 4:24 p.m. July 24 at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center. She weighed 8 pounds and was 20 inches long.
She is the daughter and second child of Matt and Cori Gillispie. Their other child, a son Drew, will be 2 years old in September.
Matt, Cori and Alli all left the hospital around 2 p.m. July 26 and headed home.
“Everything is good,” Matt said. “Alli is good. Cori is good. We’re glad to be home.”
When asked if Drew liked having a baby sister, Matt said his son didn’t show Alli too much attention just yet.
“He’s not too sure about her yet,” Matt said. “He met her a couple of times, but he wasn’t sure about her. He’s too busy with his own agenda.”
Matt and Cori are planning on coming to Granny’s house on Tuesday, July 29, afternoon or evening if anyone wants to see the newest member of the family.
Contract negotiations are still under way for rights to a picture of Alli. The Gossiper will post a picture when the negotiations are reached.
