While the team enjoyed a week off from football, Casey got a chance to come back home to visit for a few days. He flew in on Thursday and leaves Monday morning. But it was the first time he has had a chance to return to Kansas since he left in late May. He attended the KU football game against Kansas State (although it seemed like Kansas State wasn't there for most of the game, GO HAWKS!) and brought the team good luck after their losses from the previous two weekends. After the game, he joined the family over at Granny's for several hours and visited with family members who came over after the KU game. The family ordered pizza and took it easy after a long day!
Sunday, Casey and the family went out to Amy and Joel's new house and went home and just hung out. Also in town is Shane from Ireland. He flew in Friday night, went to the KU game and is here for a week. It was nice seeing Casey and we wish him the best out in North Carolina and we'll be rooting on the Panthers, go Steve Smith!!
