Obama takes office

As well all know, the next President of the United States was introduced into office on Tuesday. Newly-elected Barack Obama's inauguration drew millions of spectators in Washington D.C. and even more around the world on television.

Of course, we all realize the significance of his presidency — first black President of this great country. He is 1/2 white too, haha, but no one seems to care — and rightfully so. This victory marked a great step in the right direction for this country. It's time we stop looking at color or religion or race when we think about people. We're all guilty of it in some way, because no man is just a man, we either say he is a white man or black man or a Jewish man.

Here at the Gossiper, we also realize that not everyone in the family voted for Obama. In fact, the family seems to be split about 50/50 when it comes to being a republican or democrat. However, we all need to try and make the best of the next 4 years in this country. It's going to be a rough time at first, b/c of our political differences and b/c the country isn't in great shape now. But the U.S. as a whole needs to stop being so divided for once and try and make this country great once again.

So here's to the next 4 years in America — may they be great and prosperous!! We wish you the best Barack Obama! Long live Freedom!!!
