In his senior year of basketball at Ottawa University, Matt Green has made a positive impact on and off the court.
His actions have earned him a "biggest fan" at his games. Matt's biggest fan is a 5 or 6 year old Ottawa Braves fan. Larson has attended the home games and many of the road games this season to watch his favorite player — Matt Green — ball it up on the court.
Larson wears a shirt with the No. 3 on it (that's Matt's number) and the name "Green" written on the backside. He had Matt autograph the shirt. Last week, the boy even brought Matt to his class for "show and tell."
On the court, Matt is also excelling. He leads the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference in assists. The Braves were tied for first in the KCAC, as of last week, with Sterling College. Ottawa isn't quite ranked in the top 25 in the NAIA, but the Braves did receive votes last week.
Matt will play his final home game Thursday night in Ottawa. The game begins at 7:30 p.m.
