On Tuesday afternoon, an unexpected visitor walked into Granny's house.
He called her earlier in the day to wish her a happy birthday, but that was only the beginning of the celebration. Jeff came strolling through her front door, which wasn't too much for her heart to take, luckily. Her oldest son came to visit for her 88th birthday.
Hours later, more than two dozen family members gathered at Granny's house to celebrate her "double snowman" birthday.
"It's hard to believe Granny is 88," Anna said. "She still moves around great and is very active. She doesn't even look 8O yet."
Everybody enjoyed some pizza before singing "Happy Birthday" to Granny and eating some strawberry shortcake or angel food cake. Both were delicious.
Later in the evening, Turner called to wish Granny a happy birthday. Turner's voice was mistaken for a girl by his cousin Billy Price. It made for a good laugh. Other laughs came from Drew and Hunter's antics.
All in all, it was a good time. The family doesn't often get together during the middle of the week. Jeff is expected to be in Kansas for a week or so.
Before everyone left, we took a family photo. The first one was normal, but the second one was the goofy one. Feel free to make comments!

Ha! I love Matt and Cori in the goofy one. And look at Drew. He thinks his Grandpa is nuts (like "Mater" from the Cars movie)!!
