Solo Travels: Leslie

Leslie took off work for a week long vacation. With all the hard work and Saturday mornings she'd been spending on the job, it was well-deserved and enjoyed. Here is a question and answer with Leslie.

1. How did you decide where to go for your summer vacation this year?
I went out there to see an a Capella group, Straight No Chaser. I missed their concert in April in Kansas City and saw that they were performing out in Atlantic City for two months. I thought it would be a great vacation.

2. I believe some family members are seeing this group in October. Do you plan on attending that concert as well?
Yes, I plan on going. I may be going with a girl from work and her sister. If they decide they don't want to go, I'll go with the other family members. I like Straight No Chaser that much!

3. Did you invite any others along with you, or did you intend to travel alone from the get-go?
I invited a couple of people from work, but due to timing and their schedules, it didn't work out. And those were the only people I invited. It was nice to go by myself!

4. Would you consider going on another trip alone? If so, where do you think you'd like to travel to next?
I would go alone on another trip. It would be a place where I would feel a little safer than Atlantic City. When Anna came back from Boston, that made me think about going to Boston!

5. What part of your trip do you think was the most entertaining?
The boardwalk was cool. I really enjoyed just walking the famous boardwalk and seeing the ocean. Who else in the family can say they have walked THE BOARDWALK!!

6. Can you recall one really great people-watching moment you experienced?

The day of the concert, I went to the hotel/casino (the Harrah's) to sit for a little while and just people watch. I wouldn't say I had any great moments, but I always was thinking, I wish I would see somebody from the Midwest. It never seemed I saw anybody from the Midwest. Maybe there were, but I couldn't point them out.

Monopoly, anyone??

Barb and I can say we walked the Boardwalk. Granted it was a long time ago, but we did it.
