"Kansans in the Canyon" - An Experience

Patti, Brett, Amanda and Tammy (Amanda's mom) took a girls trip to the Grand Canyon for a hiking adventure.  They named their expedition "Kansans in the Canyon, Girls Trip 2010". 

They hiked in 10 miles, hiked out 10 miles and hiked 5 miles in between.  They camped overnight 2 nights.  They had a guide and mules and horses took the heaviest of their stuff in to the camp.  The girls carried a day pack which contained water, gatorade, snacks and one set of clothing. 

Everyone had a great time and saw some amazing sights.  The hike in was tiring but not too strenuous.  The hike out however, pushed Patti to her physical and emotional breaking point.  But thanks to her hiking buddies, she forged ahead and made it out.
