Big 12 Football Power Rankings

1. Baylor – The Bears have another unstoppable offense and a decent defense – tough combo to beat. However, they have yet to be tested.

2. TCU – Struggling defense, but the offense has proved to make up for that thus far. Followed a near miss against Texas Tech with a stomping of the Longhorns.

3. Oklahoma – The Sooners have found a QB to go along with a strong rushing attack. Can they avoid an upset at the Red River Shootout?

4. Oklahoma State – Two straight narrow victories – good opponents or sign of trouble for the Cowboys? QB Mason Rudolph is improving and getting more comfortable and that’s dangerous for the conference.

5. West Virginia – Tough butt whipping at OU, but the Mountaineers must refocus with OSU coming to town Saturday.

6. Kansas State – The Wildcats may have found a workable QB after coming oh so close to upsetting OSU in Stillwater.

7. Texas Tech – The Red Raiders can score points, but can they stop any opposing offense? Their road gets easier after loses to TCU and Baylor.

8. Iowa State – The Cyclones may have won their only Big 12 game – picking on a pathetic KU team.

9. Texas – Trouble and controversy has made a home in Austin. Will this once powerhouse program rebound? Will Charlie Strong be back next year?

10. Kansas – Late Night is Friday so KU fans can get excited about basketball very soon.
