Sara (and Jason) and Barb (and Mike) were the party planners, dishing out delicious cake and cupcakes. The attending family members all brought snacks to curb munchies.
Sara and Barb put together a few fun baby games. The first was "Scrambled Words of All Things Baby" (unofficial title). Party goers were given five minutes to unscramble as many words as possible. It was only fitting that the mom of the newest born baby in the family, Jessica, won this game. The next game was a bit more humorous. Candy bars were crunched and smooshed into tiny bits and chocolatey parcels (so that they would be unrecognizable) inside diapers. Party goers had to view and possibly sniff the contents of the diapers to try and dissect what "baby" might have eaten. Watching everyone put their noses as close to the "pooh mixtures" as they dared kept everyone entertained. Appropriately, the newest mom with the best nose due to pregnancy, Theresa, won this game. She was five for five!
The guests of honor then opened their gifts as everyone oohhed and aahhed. Baby Murph is definitely set for her first days, weeks, and months on this Earth. The real question remains, however - is she ready for this family?
Baby showers are only appropriate if babies are present. Ella and Hunter learned all about sharing toys and slobber as they played together.
Evelyn didn't have much to say during the party, opting instead for a snooze with Grandpa.

Theresa, I can email the pics. They were from Maggie's album she emailed to everyone if you want more. I just clicked on the photo I wanted to ensure it was in the large size and not the thumbnail, and then saved as and put it in my own pictures file. If you need Maggie's link again, let me know!
